Upcoming Parent Meeting

There will be a Parent Meeting for the Skyline Swim Team on Thursday, September 15, at 7pm in the Skyline library. Please plan to attend. We will hear from Coach Joe Pereira, Athetic Director Deb Bennett, Principal Bingham, and our 2016-2017 captains. I will also present information about the Booster Club and ways that parents and families can support our swimmers.

Items that will be discussed include, but are not limited to:

• Register My Athlete
• Physicals required for participation
• Information about tryouts/Blue and Gold meet on October 3
• Mandatory fees paid to the school
• Mandatory team uniform - cap, t-shirt, warmup jacket, mesh gear bag
• What does it mean to dress up for home meets? What should my swimmer wear on an away meet day?
• Optional team gear
• Purpose of the Booster Club
• Booster Club membership
• Bus Treats, and how to volunteer
• Saturday Breakfasts, and how to volunteer
• Timers at meets, why and how to volunteer
• Officials, would you like to be one? and how to volunteer
• Communication from the Booster Club: email, text blasts, website, blog, Facebook, Twitter, email notification of blog update
• Communications among team members: captains, group messages, etc.
