The Skyline Swim Team Tryouts/Blue and Gold Meet is coming up on Monday, October 3, at 3:15pm. Parents and friends are welcome and encouraged to come cheer on the swimmers. This meet is an opportunity for friendly competition between teammates and is also a chance for the coaches to evaluate swimmers on their times and events. The times from this meet will not count towards qualification for the region or state meets. Coach Joe will announce the Varsity team after the meet is over.
There will be a Parent and Swimmer Question and Answer session after the Blue and Gold Meet from 5-5:30pm in the north end of the Skyline cafeteria. It is optional and you do not need to attend if you don’t have any questions. Swimmers do not need to attend unless they have questions. Coach Joe will be leaving at 5:30pm to go coach Eagle Aquatic Team practice.
You should have already turned in your swimmer physical exam and consent forms, completed Register My Athlete online, and paid your student mandatory fees before tryouts on Monday.
You can turn in your Booster Club Membership on Monday at the Blue and Gold Meet. We will also have signups available for meet timing, officials, breakfasts, bus treats, banquet, etc.
The Booster Club is hosting the first Swim Team Hangout this coming Friday, October 7, from 6:00-6:45pm before the football game. We will meet on the field north of the pool for pizza and face-painting. Come and hang out with your swim friends and then head to the game to watch the Eagles beat Kearns. Please encourage your swimmer to participate! Go Eagles!
