How to Watch the 4A State Championship Meet

There are 3 ways to watch the 4A State Championships:

1. In Person
The 4A State meet takes place in 2 sessions. Friday morning at 10am and Saturday afternoon at 3pm. Meet information can be found at http://www.uhsaa.org/swim/ including tickets, parking, etc. State Swim Info from UHSAA Please read it thoroughly. It has great information.

2. Meet Mobile
The 4A State Championship is available on Meet Mobile as the “4A State Swimming Championships”. You can view the heat sheet (3 heats in each individual event) and the psych sheet. To see results you will have to purchase the full version of the app, which is about $5. They update it throughout the meet and you can follow the team scores as well. I think its worth the $. Meet Mobile app is available for iOS or Android.

3. Watch the meet live via the NFHS Network
They will stream the meet live, but you must set up an account to access the livestream (http://www.nfhsnetwork.com/tournament/utah-winter-championships/swimming-ut. I believe it was $15 last year. I haven’t checked the price this year. For those of you who have been to the BYU pool, the camera is located on the 10 meter dive platform and has a good view of the whole pool. No promises about the quality of the commentators, but the video should be good.

Don’t forget to join us in Provo on Saturday evening after the second session for a team post-meet pizza party at Pizza Pie Cafe. The Booster Club pays for the swimmers and parents and supporters will get the team price ($7/person).

Please purchase your banquet tickets from the Skyline webstore. See you February 21!

Practice schedules ????

The following information is my best guess, a compilation of my swimmer’s experiences of the past 3 years. It is not gospel and should not be construed as such. Joe’s directions are ALWAYS most correct.
For swimmers who will have their final meet today: Afternoon High School team practice has concluded for the season. You can resume swimming with the National group of the Eagle Aquatic Team after the State Meet. There is a cost to swim with EAT. It is not free. JV swimmers who are not swimming in Region do not have morning practice for the next two weeks. They still must show up for class at the regular school start time. After the two weeks are up, swimmers with the class are expected to come to swim at 6:15am. (Feb 1).
Swimmers who are participating in the Region Meet: Come to morning practice as Joe instructs you this week. Afternoon practice will be every day this week. If you are not competing in the State meet, you have two weeks off from morning practice starting January 30. You must still come at regular start time if you are in the class. Regular early morning practices will start on Feb 13 at 6:15am. Afternoon High School team practice concludes after the Region meet unless you qualify for state. You can resume swimming with the National group of the Eagle Aquatic Team after the State Meet. There is a cost to swim with EAT. It is not free.
Swimmers who qualify for the State Meet: Come to morning practice as Joe instructs you through Region and up to State. There will be afternoon practice every day until the State meet unless Joe says otherwise. After State, you have 2 weeks off morning practice but are expected to come at regular school start time if you are in the class. Early morning practice resumes Feb 27 at 6:15am. After the state meet, afternoon High School team practice has concluded for the season. You can resume swimming with the National group of the Eagle Aquatic Team after the State Meet. There is a cost to swim with EAT. It is not free.
DISCLAIMER: These dates and times are subject to change according to what Joe says. His word is the only one that matters. This post is the best attempt to gather a tentative schedule for your information. It is NOT the final word on anything. Do not use this post to excuse your swimmer from being late or missing practice.
